control initiatives the Victorian Infection Control Professionals
Association (VICPA) has developed a storytelling video with the assistance
and support of a family who share their experience and the impact that
acquiring a hospital associated infection has had on their lives.The video was launched at The 5th International Congress of the Asia Pacific
Society of Infection Control (APSIC), 8-11 November 2011, Melbourne,

I would like to take this opportunity to personally thank you, the VICPA
video project team and, of course, the amazing participants in this
video; Glen and Penny, for this truly remarkable video. I saw this
video at APSIC and was astounded by its impact. We have our new cohort
of interns for 2012 commencing orientation in 2 weeks and I will be
showing the participants this video. Again, my congratulations and
