Dear all,
Re: Report of National Clostridium difficile Infection Workshop
On Friday 20 August, the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care (ACSQHC) sponsored a National Clostridium difficile Infection Workshop. The main objectives of the workshop were to provide an understanding of hypervirulent strains of CDI, an overview of the prevalence of CDI and to discuss strategic options to prevent hypervirulent CDI from gaining a foothold in Australia.
As a result of this workshop, a report has been written by the Commission and provided to all attendees for consultation. This report has now been finalised and is [now available online at: http://www.safetyandquality.gov.au/internet/safety/publishing.nsf/Content/70D91C5DFF96BA43CA25768D0008BE80/$File/C-diff_WorkshopReport.pdf ]. Please note the report [is] available for download from the Commission website, along with other materials discussed at the workshop including presentations from key speakers. To access these materials along with other Commission publications, please visit http://www.safetyandquality.gov.au/internet/safety/publishing.nsf/Content/PriorityProgram-03_NatSurveillance .
