13/07/2012 at 2:12 pm #69181The filter in question is put through an entire cycle like any other
instrument. This involves an ultrasonic treatment etc and then the disk
is dried in an instrument dryer at around 55 – 60 degrees. I think this
is a key as other hospitals have reported to me condensation found on
the disk after processing. The disk is then steam sterilised (in a
protective pouch) as Deb has mentioned – as part of a green light laser
specific instrument set. We have not had to replace one yet – and have
completed over 900 cases. There is also sterilising instructions with
the disk for sterrad etc. AMS will be able to help if you don’t get
these instructions- try Silvia 0448061677Hope that helps
