AucklandHi all
I have a question about the isolation period for any residents who have gastro symptoms with positive Noro Virus infection. The best practice guidelines are that the resident should be in isolation in an aged care facility, when the symptoms start and come out after 48 hours post last symptom. But recently, there are mixed messages that the resident should be isolated for 72 hours-Post last symptom, and some say that they should be in isolation for 96 Hours (48 hours after last symptom and another 48 hours – Noro virus incubation period). Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and the current practice.
Thank youCarrie Spinks
