are looking to make a new appointment to their nursing leadership team. As
the Group Manager – Infection Prevention Control, especially in light of
Covid 19, this is a fantastic opportunity to enter the organisation and
create a standout clinical service across all locations. Using your
strategic thinking and strong coaching-based leadership capability, you will
be critical to the development and growth of the infection control team.This position will report to the Group Director Quality and Clinical
Governance. Leading a team of 6 specialists across multiple sites, the role
takes on multiple facets including;. Building and maintaining clinical best practise controls for infection
prevention. An existing framework exists, though you and your team can work
towards improvement and change.. Leading, coaching and developing both the technical skills and “soft
skills” of the team.. Actively engaging with key stakeholders to understand and deliver on their
needs service requirements with the emphasis on creating a strong customer
focus.. Provide oversite of infection prevention team operational and governance
activities. Coordinate group wide activities that support the quality improvement
cycle against NSQHS National Standards and DHHS accreditation processes.The background, skills and capabilities required for the position include;
. Either current or recent Infection prevention and control experience
gained in a large acute hospital / healthcare service provider is key
experience criteria for this position. You may have moved from a high acuity
environment, into another sector and be looking to move back into this
sector again.. This position requires someone capable of developing individuals and
teamwork, building best practise planning through to implementation of that
planning. To do so your communication skills will be outstanding, and you
will be able to demonstrate your ability to build valuable working
relationships at various levels.. You will be skilled in managing multiple ongoing projects and initiatives
which may vary across multi-sites.. Subsequently your skills and ability to manage multiple stakeholders is
key to this opportunity.. You will hold current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse, nurse
immuniser qualifications and current HIV and hepatitis C pre-test
counselling certification.. Post-graduate qualifications in infection control and prevention would be
desired as you lead and help build the technical knowledge of the existing
team.You will work with an organisation that puts the patient as the centre piece
of any initiative. You will be part of a team of skilled, dedicated and
committed professionals, who have created an environment which is
collegiate, caring and progressive. This is an opportunity to contribute to
