The APSIC2011 Congress is fast approaching and, to assist with your
pre-Congress planning, we are pleased to provide the following information
for your reference:ARRIVING IN MELBOURNE
Melbourne International Airport is located 22km north west of the city –
approximately 30 minutes drive via the Citylink freeway. Both direct
international and domestic flights arrive and depart from this airport using
a single terminal complex. Transfers to the city from the airport are
easily accessed. Taxis are available outside the terminal at ground floor
level at a cost of approximately AUD55.00.Alternatively, SkyBus operates an airport to city and return bus service. A
return fare is AUD26.00 per person or AUD16.00 per person one way. Buses
depart approximately every 15 minutes to the city terminus at Southern Cross
Station. SkyBus offers a courtesy hotel shuttle service from Southern Cross
Station to city hotels located within Melbourne’s central business district
(CBD).CONFERENCE VENUE

There are two car parks available for congress delegates and visitors to the
Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. The Melbourne Exhibition Centre
Car Park has 1060 undercover parking spaces and the South Wharf Retail Car
Park is an open air car park with 550 parking spaces. Both car parks are
operated by Wilson Parking and are open 24 hours, 7 days a week.CONGRESS REGISTRATION
The Registration Desk will be located in the Banquet Room Foyer on Level 2
of the Melbourne Convention Centre and will be open during the following
hours:Tuesday, 08 November08:00 – 17:30
Wednesday, 09 November07:00 – 16:30
Thursday, 10 November07:00 – 16:30
Friday, 11 November07:30 – 14:00SOCIAL PROGRAM
The Organising Committee has put together an exciting social program to give
delegates the opportunity to experience Melbourne’s many attractions and
hospitality.WELCOME RECEPTION
The Welcome Reception will be held on Tuesday, 08 November at the Melbourne
Convention Centre from 5:30-7:00pm. The Reception is included with full
delegate, congress delegate and accompanying persons registration, however,
bookings are required to attend this function. If you have not booked a
ticket with your delegate registration but plan to attend, please confirm
your attendance via email to registration@icms.com.au before close of
business on Friday, 7 November to ensure a ticket is allocated to you.GALA DINNER
The APSIC2011 Gala Dinner will be held in the stunning Palladium Ballroom at
Crown Towers Melbourne on Thursday, 10 November from 7:00-11:00pm.The Dinner is included with full delegate and accompanying persons
registration, however, bookings are required to attend. If you have not
booked a ticket with your delegate registration but plan to attend this
function, please confirm your attendance via email to
registration@icms.com.au before close of business on Friday, 7 November to
ensure a ticket is allocated to you.APSIC2011 PRE-CONGRESS WORKSHOPS
Places are still available for the APSIC Pre-Congress Workshops, with the
exception of Workshop 3, which is fully booked. Please check the Workshops
page on the Congress website
