    Goor Morning,
I am new to my IPC role. Kindly suggest on following:

A resident who is in isolation due to coming into contact with an exposure site, has to share a hoist machine with other resident’s due to unavailability of a separate machine for her. Just checking whether the staff should be disinfecting the machine outside of resident’s room in the hallway or it should be done in the resident’s room while staff still has the PPE on. Also, where will the disinfecting materials be discarded and whether resident will then need 2 bins one outside and inside of her room?

    Will appreciate your advice.

    Thank You.

    Regards,

    Sharnjeet Kaur
