Hi there.
We did not require a Dr’s provider number. To get access to the AIR. We did have to get endorsement from the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services though.

HI Michael,
It is a disappointing aspect of the system that nurses are still required to use a doctor provider number to enter the vaccine in AIR, especially for nurses who are accredited immunisers who are authorised to give NIP vaccines. My cynical comment for the day.

Good move to register the vaccinations on AIR.
Regards
Karen

Hi Michael,

We organised adding all vaccines onto the AIR about 16 months ago.

By approaching the Executive Director of Medical Services he has allowed us to access his provider number for the hospital and we enter all staff vaccinations provided using his details.
It did take a little while to organise the access and the password to go with it but once organised very easy to upload vaccine details.

All the best
regards
