Event Description:
Hear from Kylie Taylor and Patricia Knight, Net Zero IPS Hub Leads as they introduce the Hub’s priorities, share early progress and outline next steps in decarbonising and building climate-resilient infection prevention services across NSW Health.
Speakers:
- Kylie J Taylor – RN, BA, MNP, Grad Cert (Acute Care), Grad Cert Clinical Epidemiolog
Kylie has been an RN for 11 years, working in Acute Care in multiple settings in rural NSW. For the past 7 years Kylie has worked as a Clinical Nurse Consultant (Infection Prevention) for a region in Northern NSW covering acute and aged care settings. Kylie has facilitated the ACIPC Foundations of Infection Prevention and Control course for the past 5 years. Recently Kylie has taken on a new role as a Co-lead IPC Hub for the NSW Net zero initiative to reduce carbon emissions in key Health settings.
- Patricia Knight, Clinical Nurse Consultant in Infection Prevention
Patricia Knight is a Clinical Nurse Consultant in Infection Prevention at the John Hunter Hospital and John Hunter Children’s Hospital in Newcastle, NSW. With undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications in Nursing and a strong foundation in paediatrics, she has developed a dedicated career in infection prevention. Patricia is committed to educating healthcare professionals and advancing innovation and sustainability within the infection prevention field.
