    Hi Erica,

Im assuming that ceramic tiles were used and it is the grout that is causing you the greatest concern. Grout is porous and will, over time, become impregnated with mould. Sealant will waterproof grout preventing mould/staining..

There are also many companies that can provide a grout cleaning and/or replacement service. Audit regularly and engage services as necessary.

    Kind regards

    Good Afternoon All,

One of my sites will soon be commissioning new patient bathrooms as part of a new build. Our new patient bathrooms have a 40 cm wide section of small feature tiles (14cm x 2cm) that run floor to ceiling and we will need to adopt a cleaning system that is less manual and more time efficient than manual scrubbing.

As always infection control and housekeeping where consulted post installation with no chance of removal.

We currently use disposable microfiber mops and cloths to clean our bathrooms and from experience we have found this system to work well, except for the tile gout lines where additional mechanical scrubbing is required.

I would appreciate any cleaning procedures, techniques or devices that might assist with this process.

    Kind Regards

    Erica Short
