Do you work for an in-home aged care (I-HAC) service? Would you
like to be part of our research project to improve the quality of care in
I-HAC services, with a focus on infection prevention and control (IPC)
and antimicrobial stewardship (AMS)?
If YES, you may be interested in being part of our Consumer Group for
our NHMRC funded research project ‘Safe at Home’.
What is this research project about?
The Safe at Home research project is aiming to develop, implement and evaluate an infection and antimicrobial use surveillance program specifically for use in I-HAC services.
The Consumer Group will:
– offer advice to the researchers based on their experience of
working for an I-HAC service.
– meet online every 2 months, or as required to provide feedback.
– be supported by Assoc/Professor Noleen Bennett who is leading
the research team.
Meetings will commence Wednesday 8th October 2025 8:30-9am (AEDT) and thereafter, time to be determined on the second Wednesday every 2 months for the duration of the 2 year project.
Why participate?
Have the opportunity to provide feedback on the development of an I-HAC infection and antimicrobial use surveillance program. Help strengthen IPC and AMS practices for I-HAC services.
