Dear Pam
There is no requirement from WA Health to use disposable crockery or cutlery, or manage food trays differently.
Food service is maintained as per normal routine, with the exception that catering staff do not deliver food tray into a suspected or confirmed COVID-19 patient room.
Kindest Regards
Rebecca

At this stage we are using disposable cutlery but no other changes to plates, jugs etc. As long as the food service attendants are performing hand hygiene, there should be no problems.
Kind regards
Julie

[cid:image001.png@01D5CF6F.8741E5E0]Good morning,
I would appreciate any feedback on how meal trays/water jugs etc are being managed for coronavirus patients.
Are any additional precautions being put in place during transportation of contaminated trays from the room to the industrial dishwasher?
Are facilities using disposable plates/cutlery etc.Thank you in advance.
Kind regards,
