Do you have a background in infection control? Bring your skills to Fiji to improve patient outcomes at the Colonial War Memorial (CWM) Hospital in Suva.
Recent surveys have indicated that infection prevention and control (IPC) in the CWM hospital is sub-optimal and contributes to longer hospital stays and poorer patient outcomes as well as contributing to the development of antibiotic resistant organisms. The Ministry of Health and Medical Services is fully committed to raising standards as well as ensuring that all the appropriate consumables are readily available to raise the standards of IPC in Fiji. –
A 1 year position for an Infection Control practitioner in Fiji. Whoever takes the position will be based at CWM Hospital in Suva, which is the main Public Hospital in Fiji. CWMH and Fiji as a whole are facing a relatively recent onset but exponentially worsening crisis in MROs, particularly Gram negatives, and improved Infection Control practices are desperately needed. Having an expert in situ would be a huge step forward.
