    Hi

Our Transport staff (non Nurses) are currently using a hand held portable phone for communication which is shared between staff which is wiped over with a detergent/disinfectant wipe after each staff use.

They would like us to move into the modern age and purchase a blue tooth headset phone that smart sensors direct calls to the phone/headset and allows the staff member to automatically answer by the headset.

Is anyone using a similar device in you hospital ?

Should I be concerned from an IC point of view with introducing this in the hospital? Each staff member will have their own ear piece and it will be wiped over between each staff member as the portable phone was.

    Kind Regards
