Hi Lindy
No – not mandatory to work in COVID 19 Clinic
The reason Uni students are asked for Flu Vax information when going Rural is because the Multi Purpose Services have aged care beds and Flux Vax is mandated for anyone attending these facilities.

Hi Lindy 🙂
A COVID Testing Clinic opened nearby, and is staffed mostly by staff from Sydney Dental Hospital.
No – not mandatory to work in COVID 19 Clinic
Almost everyone had a flu vax this year because they didn’t want to catch flu + COVID.
Can’t enforce fluvax because there’s not (yet?) a NSW Health document that specifies it.
Since last year, Sydney Uni requires fluvax for students who want to do a rural placement. (I think because the rural hospitals don’t want to have a sick student taking up a bed, instead of working). The uni doesn’t require it for all the other students who stay working in hospitals in Sydney.
Stay safe and sane 🙂
Best regards,
Marilyn

Hello brains trust
Just a quick survey
For those of you who run COVID19 testing clinics is it a requirement that staff working in this clinic are required to have had flu vaccine 2019 to be eligible to work in this zone ?
Just trying to get an idea as I am being asked as we have some anti vaxers and some staff who cant have flu vaccine applying to work in the COVID testing clinics – I would be interested in what other are doing & if there is any consensus
Please click either
yes – must be flu vaccinated to work in COVID19 clinic
No – not mandatory to work in COVID 19 Clinic
Thanks for your feedback – much appreciated…hope you are keeping well
Big shout out to out mighty Victorians !!!
we have your backs & hang in there as we all think you are just fabulous!!
Kind regards
Lindy
