Infection Prevention & Control Manager, Austin Health, Heidelberg, Victoria

Austin Health is seeking an experienced and dynamic leader to oversee and advance our organisation‑wide Infection Prevention & Control service across the three campuses, satellite centres and regional pathology sites that comprise a tertiary healthcare facility with state-wide referral services. This full‑time role leads a team of IPC Clinical Nurse Consultants and plays a pivotal part in delivering NSQHS Standard 3, ensuring a safe, high‑quality environment for patients, staff and visitors.

As the Manager for IPC, you will provide strategic and clinical leadership, drive evidence‑based practice, oversee surveillance and accreditation activities, and foster a positive, high‑performing team culture. You will work closely with Infectious Diseases, executive leaders and multidisciplinary teams to shape infection prevention policy, guide organisational response to emerging infectious threats, and support continuous improvement.
