Topic: Acute Prehospital IPC Special Interest Group (AP-IPC SIG) Meeting

Event Description

This online meeting brings together key IPC people primarily in the ambulance and acute retrieval sector (e.g. Royal Flying Doctor Service). We have unique challenges with IPC in our space and have a need to network, share information, and drive and influence change within services and at a higher level.

Speakers

  • Angela Martin,PhD, FACPara, is an accomplished clinical leader, educator, consultant, and strategist with thirty years of expertise in paramedicine, nursing, integrated care, clinical governance, system redesign, and health research. Dr. Martin will provide an update on the future of community paramedicine and what this may mean for IPC needs in ambulance.
  • Jemma Shirra-Gibbis the IPC CNC for Queensland Ambulance Service and will present on recent experiences with developing and improving VHF response.
  • Sara Priestis a paramedic and clinical educator at Wellington Free Ambulance Service and will share some recent interactive education they created for paramedics.
