Are you a clinically active nurse or midwife in Australia?
The University of Sydney is seeking your help to participate in a new research study: Attitudes and practices of nurses and midwives regarding non-sterile glove use when administering injections.
The study explores the attitudes and practices of Australian nurses and midwives regarding the use of non-sterile gloves during intramuscular (IM) and subcutaneous (SC) injections. This is important as glove use practices have implications for health care safety and quality, however attitudes and practices may vary across settings.
They are seeking Australian nurses and midwives who are clinically active. This is because this group comprises the largest sector of healthcare professionals and are likely to have a substantial role in administering IM/SC injections.
Taking part in this study will involve completing an anonymous online survey. The survey will take approximately 5-10 minutes and will include questions about your specific attitudes and practices regarding non-sterile glove use when administering IM/SC injections. There is also an opportunity to participate in a focus group on this topic – if you indicate you are interested you will be asked to provide your contact details at the end of the survey.
