Donning/Doffing and hand hygiene competency

Hi all,
I would like to ask about current guidelines and practices regarding donning and doffing of PPE, as well as hand hygiene competency in aged care settings.
Is annual competency assessment mandatory, or is it based on organisational policy, risk assessment, audit outcomes, outbreaks, or staff training needs?
I am interested to know how other aged care facilities manage this requirement.
Do you complete practical competency assessments every year, use online learning modules, or combine both approaches?
