ACIPC has launched the Aged Care IPC Training Hub — a free, ready-to-use collection of infection prevention and control teaching resources developed specifically for the aged care sector.
Hosted on the ACIPC website as part of the Aged Care Community of Practice, the hub is designed to make high-quality IPC education more accessible to aged care providers across Australasia. It is intended to complement the existing Aged Care IPC Templates and Tools page, together forming a comprehensive suite of practical IPC support for the sector. Resources can be freely viewed, downloaded, and used within your organisation — no ACIPC membership required.
New to the hub are resources covering Waste Management Practices, including facilitator scripts, toolboxes, quizzes, and a waste segregation poster — all ready for immediate use. Coming soon are resources on Gloving and Bare Below the Elbows. This is just the beginning — the hub is set to grow into an extensive library of IPC teaching content, with new topics being added regularly.
Whether you’re an IPC lead, educator, or facility manager, the Training Hub offers practical, evidence-informed content to support staff education and best practice.
