The Institute of Healthcare Engineering Australia (IHEA) invite ACIPC members to submit extracts for their upcoming National Symposium
The Institute of Healthcare Engineering Australia (IHEA) has invited ACIPC members to submit abstracts for its 2026 National Symposium, to be held 16–18 November at the Esplanade Hotel Fremantle, Western Australia.
The symposium, themed “Collaboration by Design: Advancing Healthcare Together”, will feature infection control alongside asset management, compliance, sustainability and multidisciplinary communication. IHEA is keen to see infection prevention and control practitioners join engineers and facility managers in the room, particularly to discuss the practical challenges of complying with engineering standards and guidelines, such as hand basin to bed ratios.
IHEA has extended its call for abstracts to Monday 31 August 2026 for ACIPC members and is offering ACIPC members registration at IHEA member rates. Abstracts should be 150 to 300 words. Accepted presenters will deliver a 10-minute presentation followed by panel Q&A and are asked to submit a full paper for the Healthcare Facilities Journal.
