Aged Care Short Course 31 July

Our next course commences on 31st July 2026.

This course is self-paced and designed to provide staff/teams with the fundamental principles and concepts of infection prevention and control practice as they apply to various Aged Care settings in particular Residential and Home Care settings.

All staff are welcome – care (care, recreation), environmental (cleaners, catering, laundry, maintenance), procurement, clinical/governance/operational, allied health – everyone.

The course has been redesigned to align directly with the requirements of the new Aged Care Act and the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards – effective Nov 2025.

Learning outcomes:

– Increased quality and safety in care delivery

– Improved knowledge, supervision and provision of IPC education

– Implementation of AMS and other IPC strategies (clinical and environmental)

– Support for the IPC Clinical Leads and Facility/Clinical managers
