The session will share key regional findings from the 2026 Tracking AMR Country Self-assessment Survey and discuss how country-reported progress, gaps and priorities can support practical AMR action. It will also feature country experiences and expert reflections on national action plan implementation, multisectoral coordination, surveillance, stewardship, infection prevention and data use.
The discussion is timely following the recent BMJ Public Health publication and WHO news release highlighting progress in AMR planning across Asia and the Pacific, while noting the continued need for stronger financing and sustained implementation.
