Hi and a blessed morning to ALL
In our health service we are still wearing N95 Masks and Eye protection, this applicable to ALL Staff that are working in the clinical areas such as Aged Care, Acute, Urgent Care and Community Health and other areas within the health service. All visitors are required to be tested using RAT prior to them entering the facility. Visits are guided by the latest Victorian Visitation Restrictions but we are also implementing extra IPC measures health service wise. Visits take place in residents rooms with visitors wearing N95 mask and eye protection all the time. It may seems daunting but these measures works in helping us avoiding outbreaks in some of our facilities as we are severely short staffed.
Hope this helps!
Sincerely,

Hi, I can confirm out RACF wears N95 masks all the time, this is because where we are there is alot of community transmission, staff have children at school where there is ongoing transmission, we have been wearing them for months, no end in sight at this point. It has kept our facility reasonably free of Covid. At this point visitors are also wearing N95 while high community transmission, this is continually reviewed.

Hi All,
I am the Facility Manager of an Aged Care Facility in Port Macquarie.
The Department of Health have recently had a webinar in which they have recommended staff wear the P2/N95 mask for 28 day after a COVID outbreak ends.
I would like to know form the experts among us what you would recommend.
As you can imagine this seems extreme and would be a considerable burden on our staff.
