About Dr Marlena Kaczmarek
Dr Marlena Kaczmarek has been working as an epidemiologist in the Communicable Disease Control Section of ACT Health for almost three years. Her role involves monitoring notifiable disease notifications and responding to cases and/or outbreaks of notifiable conditions. Marlena has a keen interest in the epidemiology and prevention of communicable diseases, particularly vaccine preventable diseases. Prior to commencing with ACT Health, Marlena completed a PhD in epidemiology, focused on investigating changing pertussis epidemiology in Australia.

A/Professor Devereaux is a Gastroenterologist,  Endosonographer, Therapeutic Endoscopist. with several hospital appointments and a specialist clinician at Digestive Diseases Queensland. A/Professor Devereaux is a member of the Board of the Gastroenterological Society of Australia (GESA) and Chair of the Infection Control Advisory Group that developed the Consensus Statements.
