In collaboration with the Japan Institute for Health Security (JIHS), ACIPC and the Queensland Infection Prevention and Control Unit (QIPCU) will be offering GOARN Tier 1.5 Virtual Training this August and is seeking expressions of interest from potential deployees.
In this interactive course, participants are introduced to the processes, challenges, and realities of working with an international multidisciplinary outbreak response team on a GOARN deployment with WHO.
Hear from GOARN deployees about their personal deployment experiences and learn about the benefits and challenges of international deployment to a public health emergency.
All participants are required to complete a series of self-directed eCourses prior to the two workshops. These courses provide an overview of GOARN, the deployment process and WHO in Emergencies.
Each online workshop will run for 3.5 hours from 13:00 – 16:30 AEST and take place on Thursday 14th and Friday 15th August 2025. More details will be provided to those who register. Spaces are limited.
