ACIPC Low Middle Income Special Interest Group (LMI SIG)

ACIPC members associated with specific areas of health care, who have a special interest in a particular infection control topic or who are geographically linked have unique needs for networking, education and information sharing. The Low and Middle-Income countries Special Interest Group (LMI SIG) has been established to network with members and colleagues who practice or consult in economies classified by the World Bank (2014) as “Low and Middle Income Countries”.  That is, the Gross National Income  (GNI) per capita for low- income economies of US$1,045 or less in 2014 and middle-income economies with a GNI per capita of more than US$1,045 but less than US$12,736.

The aim of the LMI SIG is to facilitate member networking via regular teleconference meetings and face to face workshops at the ACIPC Annual Conference.   In addition, the LMI SIG will seek to collaborate and partner with interested peak bodies across the infection prevention and control (IPC) sector and provide assistance where possible.

Membership of the LMI Special Interest Group is open to ACIPC members who have an interest and/or experience in IPC in LMI countries. Please email if you are interested in joining this special interest group.
